SBM uPVC Doors and Windows 20-Year Warranty

1. What This Warranty Covers

This warranty covers the uPVC profiles manufactured and sold by SBM GOLD. It protects you against:

  • Cracking, peeling, chipping, blistering, or flaking under normal use.

  • Warping or bending that’s not caused by damage or poor handling.

  • Excessive fading or discolouration due to normal weather conditions.

Important: This warranty covers only the uPVC profile material only.

2. How Long It Lasts & Who Can Use It

  • This warranty is valid for 20 years from the date on your invoice.

  • It applies only to you, the original buyer. It can’t be transferred to someone else unless we agree in writing.

  • Your doors and windows must be installed and maintained as per SBM’s guidelines for the warranty to stay valid.

3. What’s Not Covered — Hardware & Accessories

This warranty does not cover other parts like:

  • Handles, locks, hinges, or rollers

  • Screws, brackets, or other installation fittings

These may have separate warranties from their own manufacturers. Our 20-year warranty is only for the uPVC profile itself.

4. What This Warranty Does Not Cover

This warranty won’t cover problems caused by:

  • Bad installation

  • Improper use, rough handling, or damage during transport

  • Using strong or harmful cleaning chemicals

  • Physical damage, misuse, or intentional damage

  • Natural disasters like floods, earthquakes, cyclones, or fires

  • Industrial pollution, chemical exposure, or coastal salt corrosion

  • Minor changes like small color fading or slight expansion due to weather (this is normal)

  • Any changes made to the product after you bought it

  • Any third-party parts or fittings that damage the profile

5. How to Make a Claim

If you need to claim under this warranty:

  1. Let us know in writing within 30 days of noticing the problem.

  2. Share your original invoice, product details, and clear photos of the issue.

  3. Allow our technical team to inspect the problem.

If your claim is valid, we will decide to either:

  • Repair the problem, or

  • Replace it with a similar product, or

  • Give you a partial refund based on how long you’ve used it.

6. Limits of Our Responsibility

We are only responsible for the cost of the uPVC profile itself. We do not cover:

  • Any labour, installation, or removal costs

  • Transport or delivery costs

  • Any indirect or other damages

7. How to Take Care of Your Doors & Windows

To keep your warranty valid, please:

  • Clean the profiles with mild soap and water, never use harsh chemicals.

  • Check your doors and windows regularly for any signs of damage.

  • Keep all fittings and sealants in good condition.
